Toodyay

Client: Private

Built by convicts in the mid 1800’s, this homestead is located on one of WA’s original and most significant rural properties. Great care was taken to restore the building and preserve its historical features. A modern extension was created to extend the living area whilst maximising the accommodation in the original building. In addition to the homestead, MAEK undertook the construction of managers residences, converted sheds into luxury entertaining spaces and reconstructed historical shearing sheds which had been transported from the Eastern states and carefully put back together, piece by piece.

Design Management, Project Management & Build by MAEK, collaborating with Rodrigues Bodycoat Architects and Katie Uther Design.
